Torquay Primary School

The Torquay Primary School takes inspiration from its coastal location, and has made an effort to integrate itself with the environment, through the use of sandstone.
There seems to be a conscious effort in the design of the downpipes, as the eaves have no column supports, they need to run back along the wall.
Regarding natural sunlight, the windows are quite large, and run along the expanse of each classroom. However, the sun's lighting potential cannot be maximised when posters are stuck over them!
